June is a special month here in Chicago. It’s Pride Month! The annual Chicago Pride Parade kicks off right here in Uptown and our neighborhood pulls out all the stops to celebrate. So what better month than Pride Month to feature one of our favorite, all inclusive Uptown businesses: Big Chicks Bar (5024 N Sheridan Rd.). After all, their tagline is “men and men, women and women, women and men.” We sat down and interviewed owner Michelle Fire about how Big Chicks came to be and what she loves most about the neighborhood. We had SO much fun with Michelle – definitely one of our favorite interviews yet!
