Local Business Spotlight Video: Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary in Uptown, Chicago

IRPINO Real Estate Presents our Local Business Spotlight series featuring local businesses in Chicago’s Uptown and Buena Park neighborhoods.
A Beautiful Lakefront Sanctuary in Uptown, Chicago
This month we did something a little different. Instead of visiting a local business in Uptown, we wanted to take you outside to see an attraction we are so proud to have here in the neighborhood: Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary (200 W. Montrose Harbor Dr.). This unique lake front sanctuary attracts tens of thousands of migratory birds to stop for rest, food, and shelter each spring and fall. It has become an internationally recognized area for birding. We talked with Jill Niland, a volunteer and birder who is involved in a number of organizations that protect the parks, lake front and bird sanctuary. Jill gave us a tour of the sanctuary and told us a little more about the migrants you can find here and why this area makes the perfect spot for birds to stop to rest. Watch the video to learn more.
Special thanks to our partner QHI Media for helping with all our video needs.
