Serving Up Chicago-Style Hot Dogs Since 1975
It’s summertime in Chicago! And there’s no better summertime food than a Chicago-style hot dog. This month we visited Byron’s Hot Dogs at 1017 W Irving Park Rd., which has been an institution in the Uptown and Lakeview areas since 1975. And the current owner, Mike Payne, has been involved with the business since the beginning. Check out our interview with Mike to learn more about how they went from a small hot dog joint in 1975 to serving the President hot dogs at the White House in 2010. We even got Dominic behind the counter serving up some dogs. Hold the ketchup.
