This December, we’re excited to feature one of Uptown’s newest (and tastiest!) additions—Breakfast House, located at 1020 W Lawrence Ave. This family-owned Chicago favorite opened its 8th location right here in May 2024, bringing its beloved breakfast-and-lunch classics, full bar, and warm neighborhood feel to Uptown. Dominic has been a loyal fan for years—his go-to is the omelette with sautéed jalapeños—but don’t miss their chorizo hash or the lemon cream French toast. We sat down with owner Jaime Jara to learn more about their story and their passion for serving the community.
