A New Uptown, Chicago Business that’s All About Giving Back
We are continuously impressed with our neighborhood of Uptown and how business owners, friends and neighbors have come together to help and support one another during this trying year. There is one business in particular that has really stood out and we were lucky enough to get to talk with them for our August video.
When the Chicago Public Schools had to shut down their free meal program temporarily, Marcus Ward, owner of Urban Grill Chicago (1132 W Wilson Ave.) stepped up. This fast food restaurant, with the help of Feed the People, countless volunteers and generous donations from the community, was able to feed over 25,000 kids around the city.
