In March, we had the pleasure of visiting one of Uptown’s newest and most note-worthy businesses, Sam & Gertie’s Vegan Jewish Deli (1309 W Wilson). We sat down with owner Andy Kalish to talk about the importance of plant based food on both the environment and our bodies and what inspired him to combine the plant based diet with traditional Jewish deli food.
