This month we met and talked with Gina Marino-Kalish, owner of Kāl’ish, a vegan restaurant at 1313 W Wilson in Uptown, Chicago that has become a destination for not just the city of Chicago, but for people from all of the country and all over the world. And when you try their food, you will understand why. One of the goals of Gina’s restaurant is to provide a break. A break from eating an animal based diet which can be taxing on the body and on the planet. And they also provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can literally take a break and enjoy a good meal.
