A Taste of Thai Street Food in Uptown, Chicago

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to learn about, celebrate, and support these cultures. This month we had the privilege to visit an AAPI owned business here in Uptown: Immm Rice & Beyond (4949 N Broadway). We talked with Chef & Owner, Dew Suriyawan about his restaurant which specializes in delicious and unique Thai street food, and why he chose to open his restaurant in Uptown a little over five years ago. One of the reasons he loves our neighborhood is that the area around Argyle Street reminds him a bit of his hometown in Thailand. And one of our favorite things about his restaurant is that, through his food, he is able to give us a taste of his home as well. Watch the full interview with Dew to learn more!
